Yoga Instruction
Love + Kale Yoga classes are fun and facilitate individual empowerment, stimulating the mind, body and soul.
I design my classes to encourage a healthier and more meaningful life while also reducing stress.
I primarily teach a Vinyasa Flow, which focuses on linking breath with movement. These poses, or asanas, flow together continuously like a dance and include standing and stretching poses, balancing, core work, inversions, and relaxation postures. The “flow” ranges from a slow pace to a fast pace. It is a full on “workout” but also builds in time for relaxation.
My classes offer variations and modifications to these poses and routines so that it is suitable for everyone from beginners to experts. I also provide hands-on assists that heighten the experience for each participant.
A typical class runs as follows: Introduction; Brief Philosophical Lesson/Setting an Intention for Class; Begin Breath Work/Warm Ups; Standing Poses; Balancing Poses; Lower Back Exercises; Abdominal Work; Back Bends; Inversions; Relaxation.
The music ranges from soft and slow for relaxation, to upbeat rock n’ roll for energizing and strengthening.
Hatha and Self Awakening Yoga classes are also available.
