Restorative Yoga Practice

Restorative Yoga was created by B.K.S. Iyengar, considered the 'father' of yoga in America, when he noticed students were injuring themselves during intensive active yoga classes (Hatha, Flow, Ashtanga or Vinyasa). These students wanted to recover from their injuries, and continue their yoga practice at the same time.
Restorative yoga focusses on total body and mind relaxation, breath awareness, and a gentle realignment of the body's energy centers.
